Warzone Season 5 Reloaded release time, date, Lara Croft, Fort Resurgence, more

Activision is gearing up to release the mid-season update for Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. Season 5 Reloaded has an August 30 release date on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. Call of Duty fans will be able to enjoy the new content when Season 5 Reloaded launches at 5pm BST UK time. Needless to say, Season 5 Reloaded launches alongside a big new update, which makes a variety of gameplay improvements, bug fixes and balance changes.

In terms of new content, Tomb Raider hero Lara Croft is coming to Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 as a Store Operator Bundle on September 9.

“Experience the legendary adventurer, famous archeologist, and ultimate expert in the fields of archery, dual pistols, and other small-arms combat,” reads the official description.

The Tomb Raider Bundle also includes three Weapon Blueprints, including the ‘Ice Axe’, the ‘Mythic Defender’ SMG, and Lara Croft’s signature ‘Mach-5’ dual pistols. That’s on top of the ‘Tomb Buggy’ vehicle skin, a loading screen, sticker and Emblem.

Elsewhere, Season 5 Reloaded adds Fort Resurgence for Warzone. The map includes the entire Al Bagra Fortress point of interest in Al Mazrah and its immediate surroundings.

Fort Resurgence will have its own playlist at launch, which is separate to the Resurgence rotation that contains Ashika Island and Vondel.

Activision explains more: “In other words, for the first time in Call of Duty: Warzone history, Operators can dive into three distinct Resurgence maps in a single play session, in addition to Al Mazrah and other DMZ locales such as Building 21 and the Koschei Complex (within Al Mazrah).”

Armoured Royale also makes a return as part of the Season 5 Reloaded update. The mode will be playable for Quads.

As part of the game mode, each squad will be assigned to a powerful MRAP vehicle. Squads can redeploy provided their MRAP remains intact.

While you can enhance your vehicle’s offensive and defensive capabilities, you’ll also need to repair and refuel in order to survive.

Elsewhere, DMZ adds new missions for all five factions, plus Operators will be able to unlock additional benefits by completing new upgrade tasks.

Full patch notes will be revealed later today (August 30), but what we do know is that various weapons will be rebalanced, and DMZ will add a ‘Host Leaves Game’ feature.
