The Crew Motorfest release date, launch time, price, pre-load and more

Racing game fans are counting down to the release of The Crew Motorfest on PS4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. The third game in the massive open-word series has a September 14 release date. It will be available to start playing at midnight local time. To ensure you can start playing once the game goes live, you can pre-load the game ahead of schedule on all platforms. The Crew Motorfest weighs in at around 40GB, so it’s worth downloading, especially if your internet is slow.

Similar to the Forza Horizon series, The Crew Motorfest takes place in an open-world environment during a festival of speed.

Ubisoft explains more: “The Crew Motorfest has settled down in one of the most breathtaking places on Earth: the island of O’ahu, Hawaii.

“Join high-speed street races through the bustling city of Honolulu, test your skills off-road on the ashy slopes of a volcano, or master the perfect curve on the tracks.”

Described as a celebration of car culture, The Crew Motorfest features everything from American muscle cars to Japanese-style street racing.

Each discipline will have its own campaign-style set of challenges, made up of races, time trials and other games.

Judging by the early previews, the cars in The Crew Motorfest have a greater sense of weight and superior handling compared to its predecessors.

There’s also a greater emphasis on classic cars, as opposed to planes and boats featured in The Crew 2.

Fans can choose from multiple editions, including a Standard Edition, Gold Edition and Ultimate Edition.

The Gold Edition comes with the Year 1 Pass, which adds a further 25 vehicles over time. That’s on top of three extra cars at launch and two new vehicles each month.

Priced at £99.99, the Ultimate Edition comes with the same bonuses as the Gold Edition, as well as the Fitted Ultimate Pack, which contains the Rainbow and Jungle Pack.

Both versions also come with early access, and are playable on PS4 and PlayStation 5, as well as all Xbox consoles.
