Call of Duty fans are counting down to the release of Modern Warfare Season 1. TCoinciding with the launch of a brand new map in the hugely popular Warzone game mode, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 has a December 6 release date and a 5pm GMT UK launch time. Needless to say, the launch of the new season includes new maps, new game modes, weapons and lots of rewards as part of the Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Battle Pass.
Arguably the highlight of Season 1 is the launch of four new maps, including three playable in 6-v-6 and one 2-v-2 map.
Meat is a 6-v-6 map set around the East Bay Meats slaughterhouse. Activision explains more: “Make use of the new Tac-Stance ability to combine agility with accuracy while weaving through the small confines of the meat locker and processing centre.
“For longer sightlines, stick to the outer loading dock and entrance.”
The 6-v-6 Greece map, meanwhile, is a medium-sized map set in a “once-idyllic coastal town”. It contains a variety of vantage points, narrow alleys and even a canal to escape into.
Training Facility is the final new map coming to Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 at launch. The 2-v-2 map takes place in an old warehouse with plenty of climbing opportunities. Titled Rio, the final Season 1 map will launch mid-season.
Elsewhere, Gunfight finally makes its debut in Modern Warfare 3, complete with five maps at launch.
The entertaining All or Nothing game mode also joins Modern Warfare 3 at the start of Season 1.
“Deploy with Throwing Knives and no ammo,” reads the official description. “Get one elimination to activate the Scavenger Perk, allowing you to retrieve ammo pickups for your weapon. The first to land 20 eliminations wins.”
The BlackCell Battle Pass includes the BlackCell Abolisher Operator, as well as the ‘Man o’ War’ Weapon Blueprint with Tracers, the ‘Flexed Upon’ Finishing Move, ‘War Horse’ Vehicle Skin and 1,100 COD Points.
The regular Battle Pass, meanwhile, adds Nolan and Dokkaebi as playable characters. That’s on top of new skins, items and lots more.
