Destiny 2 Xur location and items, Nov. 15-18

If you played Destiny, you may be familiar with Xur, the weekly Exotic item merchant. In Destiny 2, he’s back, and he now appears all over the map. This week, you can find Xur on Io, hanging out in a cave.

  • Skull of Dire Ahamkara, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Isochronal Engram: 97 Legendary Shards

Xur’s inventory caps out at 931 if you’re 950. He also offers specific rolls on each armor piece each week, giving out different perks for the same pieces.

Riskrunner

Riskrunner is an interesting exotic, although it’s rarely useful. Be sure to check your vault before you buy, as this is one of the few exotics that Asher offers to you during the campaign.

The exotic perk, Arc Conductor, causes any Arc damage you take to empower your weapon. While Arc Conductor is active, you’ll take reduced Arc damage. This plays in well to its other perk, Superconductor, which causes the bullets fired to chain lightning between enemies when empowered with Arc Conductor, as well as fire endlessly without reloading. Killing enemies while Arc Conductor is active resets the timer.

If you can find a situation where taking Arc Damage is frequent, like the end encounter on the Exodus Crash strike, Riskrunner can be very fun and helpful. Without incoming Arc damage, this gun is essentially just a normal SMG, although still powerful. If you don’t have Riskrunner, you need to pick it up.

Ophidia Spathe

The Ophidia Spathe chest piece’s exotic perk is Scissor Fingers, which lets hunters throw two knives per charge. This exotic is pretty neat, and throwing knives have always been fun to use in Destiny. This piece is also fairly unique, as it lets players hold two charges of their melee ability while also granting them two charges instantly upon recharge.

With the recent addition of Way of a Thousand Cuts in Forsaken, this is one of the best Hunter chest pieces in the game. When combined with the subclass’ unique abilities, you can essentially throw knifes constantly. It’s a really fun playstyle, and definitely worth trying out if you have a Hunter.

Xur’s roll this week is Solar, and comes with 49 total stats.

Mask of the Quiet One

Mask of the Quiet One is one of the Titan’s top exotics in both PvP and PvE. Its exotic perk, Dreaded Visage, grants energy for your grenade, melee and class ability each time you take damage. Even better, kills with void abilities instantly trigger your health regeneration. While this helmet is best used with Sentinel, you’ll get the extra energy on damage regardless of your subclass. If you’re going to be taking a lot of damage (which you will be in most activities), this is a great exotic.

Xur’s roll this week is Void, and comes with 48 total stats.

Skull of Dire Ahamkara

The Skull of Dire Ahamkara is the Warlock helmet on offer this week. It’s a pretty situational exotic, but it can be devastating when used properly. Its exotic perk, Actual Grandeur, causes you to take very low damage while casting Nova Bomb — and your Nova Bomb kills grant Super Energy instantly.

If you can accurately place your Nova Bomb in a large group of enemies — in PvE or even PvP — you will refund quite a bit of super energy. If you like playing Voidwalker at all, this is a solid helmet.

Xur’s roll this week is Arc, and comes with 50 total stats.

Invitation

If you haven’t completed the Invitation quest yet, Xur is still offering it for nine Legendary Shards.
