Xbox Game Pass gets Skyrim next week; Yakuza hits coming in January

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition for Xbox One headlines the next round of games coming to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Arriving Dec. 15, it’s the latest tentpole game to hit Game Pass from Microsoft’s newly acquired Bethesda Softworks.

Looking forward, The Yakuza Remastered Collection, which comprises Yakuza 3, 4, and 5, will launch Jan. 28 on Xbox Game Pass, for consoles and Windows PC, as well as Steam. The individual games will also be available on that day as well. The anthology originally launched in the West in August 2019 for PlayStation 4. Also, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will arrive on Xbox Game Pass on March 25, 2021. It originally launched in the west in April 2018.

Microsoft announced the new additions to Game Pass’s collection during The Game Awards 2020 on Thursday night. EA Play’s library will also become available for Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers on Dec. 15, 2021.

Xbox Game Pass brought in Control and Doom Eternal over the last week, and the service just added the option to preinstall games before their launch date, too.
