Elden Ring Pre-Order Guide

We may not know much about it yet, but Elden Ring is one of the biggest games on the horizon. First announced during Microsoft’s E3 2019 presentation, Elden Ring is the next game from Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro creator Hidetaka Miyazaki, and this time, From Software is collaborating with Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin to bring a new fantasy world to life. Beyond that, however, details are scarce, though publisher Bandai Namco has confirmed the game is headed to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but you can also pre-order it right now.

Typical for the first reveal of any new From Software game, the trailer was mostly cryptic, creepy nonsense. The eponymous Elden Ring “commanded the stars” and “gave life its fullest brilliance,” but was shattered by “someone or something.” The trailer is punctuated by someone forging (or perhaps un-forging) something we can’t see, stony cracks radiating across their back from the effort. Any allusion to forging rings of power obviously evokes Tolkien, and the whole thing generally has a dark, mythic fantasy feeling that’s very much in line with the Dark Souls series. Pre-E3 leaks suggested that the game will have an open-world format in which the player journeys through various kingdoms, slaying their rulers to take on their unique powers.

If you’re ready to pre-order Elden Ring, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve gathered all the information you need to decide which version of the game to get and where to get it to find the deal that’s right for you. As more retailers list their options, we’ll update all the details here.
