Developer Treyarch has unveiled the first-look at Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer, with a trailer featuring a Duran Duran and Notorious B.I.G. mash-up against a bevy of explosions and gunfire.
The trailer, lasting all of about three minutes and some change, shows a “very Cold War-era Black Ops experience,” according to livestream host and studio design director David Vonderhaar. The trailer features the elements coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War when it launches on November 13, including water-based vehicular combat and locations not often explored in the Black Ops series. It all looks like standard Call of Duty multiplayer fare, with a flurry of explosions and gunfire to match.
All footage shown in the multiplayer reveal trailer was captured on a PlayStation 5, which you can check out below.
We went hands-on with Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer, with editor Michael Higham saying the experience had a few neat incentives that make it an enticing proposition over Modern Warfare.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches on November 13 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Microsoft has confirmed that both the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X drops on November 10.
