Fire Emblem: Three Houses gets a secret fourth house in DLC

Today has been thick with Fire Emblem: Three Houses news, starting with the addition of Byleth to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. But the hits keep coming, as Nintendo has dropped news of the fourth wave of DLC content coming to Three Houses on Feb. 12, and it sounds like it’s going to be meaty.

Thus far the Fire Emblem: Three Houses expansion pass has added a small handful of costumes, items, and playable characters, but the fourth content release will feature a new side story called Cindered Shadows. The story introduces a secret fourth house, Ashen Wolves, made up of outcasts from famed military school Garreg Mach. The house has apparently existed below Garreg Mach, in the sewers, operating without anyone’s knowledge.

According to Nintendo’s YouTube description, players will be able to meet and recruit four new students from the Ashen Wolves, who will then return to the game’s main story to complete the main quest. Based on the description it sounds like this won’t be a full campaign, but rather a detour from the three main campaigns in Three Houses.

The Three Houses expansion pass includes four pieces of downloadable content for $24.99, making this the final release in the pass. Another free piece of content, set to include Jeritza as a playable character, is also still to come, but it will be available to anyone who owns a copy of the main game.
