Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is giving players guns that they can't use because of the level cap.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands launched just a few days ago, but some players are already reporting some issues with guns and the level cap. Wonderlands doesn't let players level up beyond Level 40, which is the current level cap, but it doesn't seem to have told its roster of guns that fact as players are being rewarded weapons they can't use.
As reported by GamesRadar+, Wonderlands players are heading over to the game's subreddit to complain that they've been awarded guns that they can't use. Players are reporting that they've reached Level 40, but that they're being awarded Legendary guns that can only be used at Level 44.
Redditor Iridescences1 shared a clip of some legendary loot that has level requirements of Level 43 and 44, which currently isn't possible in Wonderlands. Some are passing this off as a joke from the developers, which would be in line with Borderlands' sense of humour, but it seems much more likely that it's an oversight of some kind.
There are a few different examples of this levelling issue on the Wonderlands subreddit, with players showing off Legendary Loot with requirements that aren't at all possible yet. This isn't the only level-related issue that players are reporting either, with one Redditor complaining that they reached the max level and don't have the right amount of points for levelling up their character.
Previous Borderlands games have started off with a set level cap, before increasing it through post-game updates and alongside the release of expansion packs, with Borderlands 3's level cap eventually reaching Level 72, so it seems very likely that Wonderlands will do the same thing at some point, especially considering that we know DLC is on the way for the game.
Still, players aren't very happy that they've got a bunch of guns that they can't use sitting around in their inventory until the next update.
