The Nintendo Switch continues to expand it’s titles in unique (and sometimes surprising) ways. The newest port coming to the Switch is The Turing Test, a first-person puzzle game previously released on the Xbox One in August of 2016 and later on the PlayStation 4 in January of 2017. The Switch version will be available on the Nintendo eShop this February.
The game is named after, well, The Turing Test – a test designed by Alan Turing to determine a machine’s ability to show intelligent behavior at the level of a human being, or be indistinguishable from a human being.
In The Turing Test, players get to play as Ava Turing, an engineer for the International Space Agency. The game is set on Europa – one of Jupiter’s moons and a major aspect of the gameplay consists of a series of puzzles (that only a human can solve) to be completed. The game received relatively good reviews that praise the complex puzzles alongside an engaging storyline that results in a satisfying conclusion.
The Turing Test is just the type of game the Nintendo Switch thrives on, pairing an interesting Sci-Fi environment with puzzle solving fans have come to love from the console. The continued support of these interesting and unique games have worked well alongside the large title for the Switch and helped the console thrive on varied gameplay a diverse group of players can enjoy.
The Turing Test will be available for the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop on February 7th.
