If you're still struggling to get through your first Elden Ring playthrough, look away now. A speedrunner has managed to blast through the game in under an hour – without using any glitches.
Only one speedrunner has pulled off the feat so far – a fan going by the name of KEMIST_C10_H15N online. Securing the world record with his time of 59:41, this is a huge jump from the previous best of 1:00:02, which was already unbelievable.
As you can see in the run below, KEMIST makes quick work of all the bosses that many of us have pulled our hair out over. The runner is able to make his way through the Lands Between like it's nothing too, clearly having memorized the best route, and proving that speedrunners have a scary amount of talent when they practice a category over and over again.
As the title says, this is the first time an Any% Glitchless record has dropped below one hour. It shows that the Elden Ring speedrunning community is still thriving months after launch, and is still able to amaze its fans with ridiculously impressive times. With such a dramatic time save being made so recently, it's likely that there's still plenty to be discovered in this category.
Of course, anyone who's familiar with Elden Ring speedrunning will know that there are times in other categories that are just as unbelievable as this. When glitches are used in the runs, the times can be brought down to ridiculous lows. The Any% No Restrictions record is a staggering three minutes 56 seconds. The regular Any% category, which puts some restrictions in place, is still only 20 minutes and 13 seconds.
If you're feeling brave enough to try your hand at Elden Ring speedrunning, you can grab the FromSoft hit on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
