Rocket League Goals For Change Tournament Details Revealed By Psyonix

Psyonix today revealed details about the upcoming Rocket League Goals For Change tournament, which kicks off on March 24. The casual competition will feature “women from across North America and Europe competing to donate to causes that are important to them.”

The tournament will follow a simple Round-Robin format, with four teams per region competing across three different rounds:

  • Round 1: Hoops
  • Round 2: Rumble Dropshot
  • Round 3: Boomer Ball

As for the prize pool, here’s how the donations shake out:

  • 1st Place: $10,000 per region
  • 2nd Place: $2,000 per region
  • 3rd Place: $1,500 per region
  • 4th Place: $1,000 per region

Rocket League will broadcast the event live on its Twitch channel on March 24 at 10am PT. Europe is scheduled to play first, followed by North America directly after.

The list of players is just as impressive as the prize list, with popular Rocket League streamers composing the majority of the roster. This includes Ravena, Miramasa, ThatsVix, and Karma.

Between matches, you’ll also be treated to interviews with team captains and “a chat with the creator of the Moonpaw Wheels, Lindsey, about her experience working in the video game industry.”

Rocket League is off to a great start in 2021, and it recently extended Season 2 until April 7 – giving players more time to earn exclusive rewards from its Rocket Pass. It also saw the addition of free Moonpaw Wheels for Women’s History Month, along with a reworked soundtrack in February for Black History Month.

The upcoming Rocket League Goals For Change tournament isn’t even the game’s first big tournament of the year, as it recently held one in collaboration with the X Games. Despite launching way back in 2015, it’s clear Rocket League still has a lot of gas in the tank.

Be sure to check out the official Rocket League Twitch channel later this month, when the Goals For Change Tournament kicks off on March 24. Rocket League is available for free on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Switch.
