The latest Resident Evil 8 rumour suggests the game will be announced at Sony’s PS5 reveal event, which could be this week.
As early as January, we have heard multiple rumours and reported leaks about Resident Evil 8, but Capcom has remained completely tight-lipped.
Most of the information so far has come from AesetheticGamer on Twitter, who specialises in inside information regarding horror titles such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill.
Last week, they stated that they didn’t know when the game would be revealed, only theorising that it would happen before the end of August.
To back up their claims, AestheticGamer pointed out that the Resident Evil games went on sale on every platform around the time the PlayStation 5 event was meant to happen, before it was delayed.
According to them, in the past, Capcom has had these sales whenever a new game is announced, so it suggests that Resident Evil 8 was meant to be announced around the same time too.
We’ll have to wait for the actual event to occur to see if AestheticGamer’s claims hold any water, but we have yet to receive a new date for said event.
One rumour that’s flying around is the PlayStation 5 reveal will happen this Friday on 12 June, but the only source this comes from is a random Tweet that, quite frankly, could have been made by anyone.
