PS5 leak shows minute long gameplay trailer for new game, Godfall

On Monday afternoon a leaked clip for Godfall was released onto the internet. It was only 6 seconds long, but showed an early glimpse at the only 'confirmed' PS5 game so far.

However, this afternoon a more substantial trailer was leaked on reddit from the same source.

Better still, it appears to be a full gameplay trailer lasting 1 minute 15 seconds.

As noted by the headline of the reddit thread that posted the video, this is a "Full Internal Early 2019 Teaser" so it's not representative of the full finished product.

We imagine the end product will look more polished and take advantage of those new bells and whistles provided by Sony's new PlayStation 5 console.

Have a look on the below Reddit thread before the trailer is (presumably) pulled.

Initially, we suggested that the leak on Monday might have come as a result of a possible PlayStation 5 reveal in February.

But whilst this leak might not be the trailer we were expecting (but rather an older internal gameplay demo) we're still of the opinion Sony are preparing for a big announcement fairly soon.

In recent weeks several bosses and studio top brass have been descending on San Franciso in recent weeks, it might suggest Sony are preparing for their big announcement pretty soon.

Even veteran Sony developers are of the belief that an announcement is imminent.

There's clearly a lot of pressure to get the reveal perfect, with the company already deciding they would skip E3 this year in favour of going their own way.

Having already revealed a short CGI teaser, we imagine Godfall will play a significant role in Sony's PlayStation 5 launch, so you can likely expect plenty more info on the game to follow in the coming months.

Godfall – Confirmed Details

As for Godfall, we know a little information about the upcoming title thanks to a blog from Counterplay Games CEO Kevin Lee, who took to the PlayStation blog after the trailer's debut to give fans a bit more info about the new game:

"Our goal with Godfall is to reforge fantasy ARPG-style loot progression and third-person melee combat into a whole new genre: The Looter-Slasher. Namely, our game is uniquely one-part gear driven and one-part player-skill driven.

"Godfall retains the desire for offence-oriented, mastery-driven combat, rewarding you with head-turning, powerful loot that then inspires your next set of character builds."

"Godfall’s designed from the ground up with co-op in mind. You can play the entire game in solo, duo or trio. Your enemies will respond dynamically, mutating their behavior and attack patterns based on your group size. Our goal for co-op is stronger together, and fun for all."

Stay tuned for more information as soon as it becomes available.
