PS4 fans have been treated to a special free download in celebration of this weekend’s EVO tournament.
The free Street Fighter 5 trial is available from August 1 on PS4 and PC.
And unlike other free trials that typically only run for the weekend, fighting fans can try Street Fighter 5 for free until August 11.
The free Street Fighter 5 download includes the base game and all of the Season 3 content.
This includes returning characters such as Sagat, Blanka, Cody and Sakura, as well as new fighters like Falke and G.
As an added bonus, fans can pick up Street Fighter 5 content at reduced prices for a limited time.
“If you like what you’re playing in the #SFV free trial, take advantage of these limited time offers on the full game and extra in-game content now!” Capcom explains.
The base game is down to just £7.39, while the Arcade Edition costs £15.99. Various costume packs and stages can also be picked up at a reduced price.
Street Fighter 5 is one of the main attractions at the latest EVO tournament.
Taking place from August 2 until August 4, the Evolution Championship Series (otherwise known as EVO) is the longest-running tournament dedicated to beat-em-ups.
In addition to Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition, games also include Samurai Showdown, Soul Calibur 6, Tekken 7 and Mortal Kombat 11.
That’s on top of Dragon Ball Fighterz, plus Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Blazblue Cross Tag Battle.
Video game publishers will also use the event to make announcements, so expect to see new DLC characters and potentially even new game reveals.
Indeed, Capcom has already announced plans to release three new DLC characters during the tournament.
E. Honda, Lucia and Poison will all be available to download individually from August 4.
The trio will be available to purchase as part of the Summer 2019 Character Bundle the next day.
