PS Plus December 2019 free games: When is PlayStation Plus next PS4 reveal?

The end of November is fast approaching and as you might suspect, PS4 owners are naturally turning their attention towards PS Plus December.

PlayStation owners have had quite a year of free games, with some absolute crackers given away for free this year.

To name just a few, its included The Last of Us Remastered, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Overcooked, WipEout Omega Collection and Batman: Arkham Knight. That's not even half and it's already a fantastic list.

This is also overlooking the many raft of extra freebies available on the PSN Store for Dauntless , PES 2019, Warface, Brawlhalla, Fortnite and Apex Legends.

Players could be waiting sometime before they learn about their next PS4 game freebies.

So for the sake of anyone who wants to know, or those who might have only recently signed up for a PlayStation Plus subscription, here's some info to guide you on the next PS Plus games for December.

When is PS Plus December 2019 Free Games Revealed?

Most fans might know, but given how many people buy a PS4 every day, it's worth spelling it out for anyone new to the console ecosystem.

Traditionally PS Plus games have always been announced on the last Wednesday of the month, with the games becoming available on the first Tuesday of the month.

This, unfortunately, means players will have to wait until Wednesday, 27th November before they discover what games Sony will be gifting subscribers.

If you want to set yourself an alarm so Siri, Google or Alexa can remind you, the PS Plus lineup is normally announced at 4.30pm BST on the day.

The only upshot is that because of the way the dates have fallen you should receive your new PS4 games not long after they're are revealed, with the new games going live on December 3rd.

What is PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation Plus (commonly referred to as PS Plus or PS+) is Sony's PlayStation subscription service, primarily used to access online gaming on your PS4.

However, there are plenty more benefits on top, including two free PS4 games every month, exclusive PlayStation Store discounts, and 100GB of cloud storage for game saves.

How much does PlayStation Plus cost?

You can join PS Plus on a one, three or 12-month recurring payment plan, with costs ranging from as little as £6.99 for one month, up to £49.99 for the yearly option.

Choose a 12 month PS Plus membership and, by paying annually, you'll save 40% compared to paying monthly, and 37% compared to the three-month membership plan.

Can I try PlayStation Plus before I subscribe?

Yes! If you have never been a member of PlayStation Plus before, you can try it free for 14 days.

PS Plus December 2019 Predictions

Keep moving. You won't find any predictions here because they so rarely make sense.

We'll hold our hands up because, granted, Sony gave away The Last of Us Remastered in October to coincide with the release date announcement of The Last of Us Part 2.

But for the most part, Sony PS Plus pretty much never coincides with any sort of event, release or time of year.

For instance, last year for the December 2018 free PS Plus games we saw Onrush and SOMA given away for free.

To our knowledge, there was nothing to suggest either of them would be free that month, and there are no specific reasons they should have been free that given month.

Likewise, PlayStation Plus subscribers could also download Steredenn and Steins;Gate on PS3, alongside Iconoclasts on PS Vita.

So yeh, it's pretty random and so whilst we could give you some predictions for December 2019 like other sites or even the PS Plus Reddit page, we won't because it seems fairly pointless.

PS Plus November 2019 – Don't Forget…

Like every month, you've got two free games you can download right now and they're a cracking pair you certainly don't want to overlook.

As usual, don't hang about, they're not available for too much longer.

Ready your blade – grueling encounters await around every corner in this action RPG set in a vast land ravaged by civil war.

To triumph you’ll need patience, to learn where each foe – human or demon – is strong, and when to strike at their weaknesses.

Embrace every defeat as a step along the path to victory. Only in death will you find the way of the samurai.
