Sony has revealed that the final State of Play for 2019 will air next Tuesday, December 10.
The show will start at 6am Pacific / 9am Eastern / 2pm UK (that's 1am December 11 in AEDT) and will be available to watch on PlayStation’s official accounts across Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
“We’ve got around 20 minutes of new game reveals, release date announcements, new gameplay footage, PlayStation Worldwide Studios updates, and more,” reads the announcement on the PlayStation blog.
This should be a big one, then. But don’t go into it hoping for any news on the PlayStation 5:
“And it probably bears repeating: Don’t expect any updates related to our next-gen plans in this episode,” Sony wrote in its announcement.
The previous State of Play was aired back in September 2019 and featured new footage of The Last of Us Part II. We also got to see Humanity and Arise: A Simple Story for the first time.
Sony’s State of Play isn’t the only big game reveal event to look forward to this month. The Game Awards air on December 12 with 10 new game announcements according to the show’s host Geoff Keighley.
We know that the rumoured Resident Evil 3 remake won’t be revealed at The Game Awards as Keighley has said nothing from his show has leaked so far. That means we could see it announced during the State of Play on December 10.
