The PlayStation 5 release date is due to be announced soon – surely, since it launches later this year – but ahead of the console's big reveal, fans are already starting to think about what they'd like to see on the hardware itself.

PS5 launch game revealed?
Over the weekend, we've seen a new concept for the PlayStation 5 startup screen, created by YouTube channel Paulo Manso Animation .
The creative mock-up starts with the classic PlayStation logo, which zooms out to a more modern blue/white setup (which is very similar to what we've seen on the PlayStation 4 startup screen over the past seven years).
There's a slight smoothing to the animation, and we think it's a nice bold, modern start-up chime… it's much better than the old GameCube start-up for example.
Just add the old PSOne startup sound, and you've got a recipe for a strong, warm hit of nostalgia.
