Persona Celebrates 25 Years With $400 Box Set Containing 15 Soundtrack Albums

Atlus and iam8bit have partnered to produce a box set of soundtracks to celebrate 25 years of the Persona series. The box set features 8.5 hours of newly remastered music from all five games on 15 vinyl records themed to each Persona. Sticker sheets and postcards are included. Preorders can be made for $400 beginning on December 14, but the box set will be shipping in two waves over the course of the next couple of years. The first will be in late 2022 and the second will be in early 2023.

Atlus and iam8bit collaborated to “honor the beloved series’ sounds with a deluxe box set like no other” in celebration of its latest anniversary. “Every track has been freshly and painstakingly remastered just for this vinyl release, breathing new life into all of your familiar favorites. With a whopping 8.5 hours of music, this is truly a journey through genre and time, ranging from Persona 1’s memorable dungeon themes and Persona 2’s head-bopping beats to Persona 3’s unique hip-hop stylings and Persona 4’s familiar retro-pop, crescendoing with Persona 5’s famous acid jazz.”

The box set is intended to be sold as a package, but each album can be purchased individually. While the soundtracks for Persona 1 and 2 will be bundled together for $90, the soundtracks for Persona 3, 4, and 5 will each be running $100. The empty slipcase can be purchased on its own for $35.

“The Persona series is absolutely legendary, rife with a uniquely enveloping world and iconic characters and the real treasure of the compendium is each game’s soundtrack. Rarely does a franchise embrace music with such care and it’s because the Atlus Sound Team knows just how helpful good tunes can be to immersing you in the fantasy.”

Similar to many commemorative compilations, the box set will most likely be selling out shortly after going on sale, so buyers will have to act fast if they want to secure a copy. Featuring dozens of classic tracks, this bundle is the best way to celebrate 25 years of a series which is best known for its soundtracks. The music by the Atlus Sound Team is what attracts your attention, but the artwork by Drew Wise will be keeping this compilation on your shelf for the rest of the foreseeable future.
