- How To Escape The Shower Room
Behind Door 3 on C Deck, you will come across the Shower Room of Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. This room is fairly simple to complete, but while inside, you will come across conversations that are very important in regard to the story of the game.
For this guide, we are going to take a look at how to complete every step of the Shower Room so that you can make your escape. As usual, you will not find any spoilers in this guide that can potentially give away any part of the story. First, let's take a look at the layout of the Shower Room.
Shower Room Layout
The layout of the shower room is very simple, with toilet stalls against one edge and showers on the other.
On the side of the room with showers, you can also find a small partition wall with a door on the other side.
How To Escape The Shower Room
Now, it's time to escape! When you first start this escape room, you will be facing the partition wall and door. Turn to the right so that you are now facing three bathroom stalls.
First, click the stall on the left-hand side to retrieve the following items. This is the storage area of the Shower Room.
- Toilet Paper
After grabbing these items, you will begin a long conversation with June. When this ends, combine the toilet paper and broom, so you have a 'broom wrapped in toilet paper.' Inspecting the broom will reveal numbers reading "634 +."
Click on the stall closest to the right to open the door. Interact with the toilet tank – you will find a red keycard. This is important to leave the room, so add it to your inventory and return to the main shower room.
Now, face the blood that has been splattered on the wall. Here, you should see a few letters written in blood.
Spray luminol on the wall, and then flick the switch next to the first L written. Doing so will display three additional letters. Now, the wall will read "L L R L R L."
Face the showers on the left-hand side of the wall now; you should see a box near the first shower head that can be opened. With the letters in mind, you will need to turn the switches on the pipes facing the correction direction.
This will be done in a zigzag pattern, starting from the bottom left. In the image above, you can check out the correct orientation for the switches.
You do not need to use the luminol in order to solve this part of the puzzle. If you already know the solution, you can turn the switches without ever inspecting the wall.
With the switches flipped correctly, Santa will tell you that a drain is acting up. Turn to face the door to the left, and you should see water coming out of a grate from the ground.
Inside the drain, you should be able to see a blue keycard. Remove the grate and grab the card.
Once you have done this, fill the bucket from your inventory with hot water and head over to the middle toilet stall along the wall. Using your bucket, fill the tank with the toilet with water. After doing this, flush the toilet, and you will see a message in the bowl reading "185 =".
While at this stall, be sure to look in the tank and find the red screwdriver.
Now, return to the main shower area once again and interact with the thermometer on the wall. Use the screwdriver to remove the thermometer from the wall and add it to your inventory.
Facing showers again, use your thermometer to get hot water on it. The thermometer will get hot and eventually open, revealing a piece of paper that reads "957 +".
Now, it's time to put all of your clues together and make your escape. Approach the keypad and swipe your red card first and then the blue one second. This order is important, if you do it the other way around, you cannot escape.
Once the cards have been swiped, enter the code. While exploring the room, you found several numbers; when put together, you get the equation below.
- 634 + 957 + 185 =
If you want to work quickly, you do not have to find the numbers in the equation. Instead, you can retrieve both keycards and then type in the correct code without ever finding the clues. This allows you to quickly pass through this room and skip several steps.
The answer to this is 1776, which is the code you will now use to escape. Type this number in and regroup with the others.
