New Pokemon Snap Debuts "Pokemon Ecology" Commercial In Japan

Nintendo has released a New Pokemon Snap commercial in Japan, titled Pokemon Ecology. The adorable ad is only 15-second long, but gives us another look at some of the Pokemon we’ll encounter during our time in the Lental region.

The commercial features Fuwa-chan – a popular YouTuber – and actor Kokoro Terada. The official Pokemon YouTube channel region-locks the latest advert, but NintendoEverything was able to upload a version for folks around the world to view. You can check it out below:

New Pokemon Snap is more than a simple remake of the original title from 1999. With over 200 Pokemon to photograph, unlockable areas, and a brand-new region to explore, it sits somewhere between a reboot and a remaster. Much of the core gameplay remains intact, as you’ll be guided through each level via an on-rails cart, snapping photos of as many Pokemon as you can. However, there are plenty of new faces – and a new storyline – to keep things intriguing.

The game is set to release around the world on April 30, so expect to see plenty of new ads crop up around the globe in the coming weeks. If there’s one thing Nintendo’s good at, it’s marketing its most popular IPs. Until then, we can at least enjoy this short Pokemon Ecology commercial.
