We've heard repeated rumours about the next Batman game over the past few months, but it never seems to materialise.
There were lots of rumours about the title turning up at The Game Awards 2019 , but sadly that never came to be.
We've even seen teases about the game from the publisher of the unannounced title itself – something that Warner Bros. doesn't seem to be stopping even now, in 2020.
Back at the start of December, a new rumour suggested that developer Warner Bros. Montreal will announce the game soon – and now we're seeing the developer tease the game on its social media once again.
The developer has posted an image (see above) to Facebook and Instagram with the motto ""Cape sur la nuit / Capture the Knight" once again – mimicking a post that went live on Twitter back in 2019.
In September last year, to celebrate World Batman Day, WB Games Montréal's official Twitter account posted a short video of the (in)famous Bat Symbol shining up against a wall.
You can see that tweet below.
But what does this continued campaign of teasing mean? As we've previously reported , they seem related to the Batman Court of Owls storyline.
Previously, we've also seen Geoff Ellenor, game director on an unannounced title over at WB Games Montréal, tweet something cryptic about the symbols we've seen shared by the developer.
At this point, without a doubt, we can assume that the studio is up to something.
We just don't know what, or when it's going to land – we're hoping it'll be something that arrives this year, though… it would make sense for the game to juice as much of this generation's hardware as possible before we move onto the PS5 and Xbox Series X generation.
We'll update you with more information as it becomes available.
