NBA 2K21 fans will soon be finding out who will be on the cover of this year’s entry in the hugely popular basketball series. Last week the cover star for NBA 2K20 – Anthony Davis – revealed they had the inside track on who will be featuring on the sleeve for NBA 2K21. In a video on the NBA 2K TikTok account he teased that news about this year’s cover athlete will be coming on June 30, July 1 and July 2.
The clip, which has been watched over 2million times, has sparked speculation that NBA 2K21 could feature three different cover athletes.
We’ll be finding out who one of these cover stars is at least on Tuesday June 30, with an announcement on TikTok once again seeming on the cards.
And ahead of this official reveal fans may have found out who one of the NBA 2K21 cover stars will be.
As revealed in a post by the @2KIntel Twitter, a listing on Amazon UK may have revealed that Kobe Bryant will be getting commemorated by NBA 2K21.

NBA 2K20 update 1.13 patch notes: New download drops during £4 sale
The online retailer has a listing for one version of NBA 2K21 called the ‘Mamba Forever’ edition.
The NBA 2K21 Intel Twitter added that the edition honouring the LA Lakers legend is likely to be the final announcement 2K Games has in store for this week.
The account tweeted: “Legend edition of #NBA2K21 will officially be revealed in 3 days. Tomorrow is the regular edition cover athlete.”
It remains to be seen if this Amazon listing is accurate or not, but if it is then it surely will go down well with fans.
Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter crash earlier this year in which all nine people onboard died.
The NBA legend was with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, six family friends as well as the pilot of the chopper.
In the wake of the tragedy there was a huge outpouring of emotion for Bryant, with NBA commissioner Adam Silver among those who paid tribute.
Silver said: “For 20 seasons, Kobe showed us what is possible when remarkable talent blends with an absolute devotion to winning. He was one of the most extraordinary players in the history of our game with accomplishments that are legendary.
“But he will be remembered most for inspiring people around the world to pick up a basketball and compete to the very best of their ability.
“He was generous with the wisdom he acquired and saw it as his mission to share it with future generations of players, taking special delight in passing down his love of the game to Gianna.”

NBA 2K21 is scheduled to launch this fall, and will be getting a next-gen edition which was unveiled during the recent PS5 reveal event.
A brief snippet of footage shown of NBA 2K21 on the PlayStation 5 revealed jaw-dropping, almost photo-realistic gameplay footage.
Which shows that, from a visual standpoint at the very least, the first next-gen NBA 2K game is going to be something pretty spectacular.
