Minecraft Realms Down: Unable to connect errors impacting players

Minecraft realms are down this afternoon as Bedrock edition players continue to experience issues and not for the first time this week.

For those who don't know, realms are personal multiplayer servers, run by Minecraft.

So it's like having your own personal private Minecraft world for you and your friends, even when you log off.

However, problems with Minecraft realms have been intermittent all week, with Mojang Support's last official message on the matter coming on July 7.

At the time, it simply said:

"Minecraft Realms on Bedrock: Players should be able to log into Realms and connect to Realms normally again. If you’re still experiencing issues, please contact @mojangsupport Thanks"

Unfortunately, the most up to date correspondence we can find from Mojang Support is of little comfort to players.

One player speaking with support earlier today wrote:

"my realm is still broken, i know there have been updates about this problem but i at least wanna know of there will be a date on this problem, yes i have already emailed you guys and basically got nothing"

In response, Mojang Support replied saying:

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is currently a known issue. The team is currently working on a fix that we hope to have out to everyone as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience while we work on the solution!"

As you can see from the above screenshot, it's also evident that numerous players across many devices are having issues.

Unfortunately, for the time being, it doesn't appear as though Minecraft's developers at Mojang have any sort of fix in the works in the immediate future.

More to follow as it develops.
