Minecraft Live provided a lot of news for fans to digest, but it was a little short on official release dates. And that can lead to some serious questions regarding what everything will be coming out on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo and Mobile platforms. And while we can’t share the exact date when new updates and patches will be coming out, we do know the order and the general timing planned for each new expansion already announced for the popular sandbox title.

Minecraft 1.19 is going to be a massive expansion for the game, with developers Mojang confirming how they hope to explore biomes and features in the new update.

Minecraft 1.19 will be officially called The Wild update and is set to add new items to the game.

One of these additions revealed during Minecraft Live was the Mangrove trees, which will grow from propagules and create their own biomes.

Harvesting them will provide a new wood type and the Mangrove Swamps will be populated with creatures like Frogs, which can be raised from Tadpoles into different types.

With the frogs come the fireflies and the mud, which will be another building type that can be used to create bricks and mud blocks.

Minecraft 1.19 is also receiving other important stuff like boats with built-in storage, the new Allay Mob and the Deep Dark features which were supposed to ship with Minecraft 1.18.

And from what has been shared by Mojang, The Minecraft 1.19 release date has been set for 2022, probably before Summer.

Minecraft: Mojang teases the new Nether update

Mojang has detailed what will be included in Minecraft 1.19, before launching its next update – Minecraft 1.18.

Minecraft 1.18 is called Caves and Cliffs and was split into two parts earlier this year due to how the expansion had grown in size and ambition.

Caves and Cliffs Part 2 is set to add a lot of new and helpful features, such as bundles, along with bags that can be stored in chests.

New types of biomes have been promised, and gamers will soon be able to explore Noise and Lush Caves.

Lush Caves add fruit and nature to the cave system, along with flowers from Azalea plants and Pink Blossoms.

Vines will grow that host glowing berries, which will help to naturally illuminate areas of the caves in which they grow.

All of this stuff is coming with the Minecraft 1.18 release date, which is scheduled to arrive in 2021.

Sadly, Mojang failed to provide an exact date for when the Caves and Cliffs update will be available to download.

They did say it would be ready within two months of Minecraft Live, which was held on October 16.

So the earliest it could launch is November 18, 2021, across all platforms.
