Sony’s airlift of PS5 consoles to the UK should begin to bear fruit from Thursday this week, just in time for Call Of Duty: Vanguard.
Call Of Duty: Vanguard is not the only major release this week, as stock checkers predict that GAME will get in a major restock of PlayStation 5 consoles to coincide with it.
The new stock comes from a special airlift organised by Sony, involving three jumbo jets filled with consoles, which are predicted to become available at GAME on Thursday, November 4 and/or Friday, November 5.
There’s no prediction of an exact time but GAME usually puts stock up to buy from between 8am and 11am, so if you keep an eye on their website and Twitter account you should be able to get a head start on buying one.
PS5 Stock UK predicts that the consoles will be shipped by November 19, or November 11 if you pay for priority delivery. Or in other words, plenty of time before Christmas.
There’s no indication yet of other stores putting up new stock but they should all benefit from the airlift, especially larger stores such as Amazon.co.uk and Argos.
Even if you miss out this week it’s far from the last chance to get a console before Christmas, especially as Sony is rumoured to be planning more airlifts before the end of the month.
Given the shortages though it’s best to try and pick one up as soon as you’re able, as demand is likely to get especially fierce next month.
