It’s "time to duel" with these new Yu-Go-Oh! Trading Card additions

Despite originally launching all the way back in 1999, the Yu-Gi-Oh card game continues to delight fans the world over. If, like me, you were drawn in by the anime, you'll no doubt have fond memories of Saturday mornings wish you had access to the cards on screen.

Thankfully, with Konami's latest addition of two new card packs, you'll be able to build a deck or two that would make Yu-Gi and Kaiba proud.

First up is Duel Devastator, an incredible box set. It offers five popular cards, with new artwork:

  • Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring
  • Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit
  • Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries
  • Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion
  • Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood

Tournament-winning decks were examined to assemble an incredible thirty side decks and twenty extra decks. The box includes 56 Ultra Rare cards, so even if you're not interested in playing there's plenty to enjoy from a collector's perspective. The set launches on October 1.

Next up is Chaos Impact, a new range of 100 cards that launch on October 24. These will introduce new monsters such as Firewall Dragon Darkfluid, a Link-5 Monster with 3,000 attack points that can be buffed all the way up to 13,000 – quite the damage dealer.

You can preview Chaos Impact at certain participating retailers – head here for the list.

As for now, we're heading back into Legacy of the Duelist on Nintendo Switch – review coming soon.
