Insomniac has revealed the follow-up to one of the most successful games we've seen on the PS4 to date: Marvel's Spider-Man
A sequel to the blockbuster hit, named Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, will come to the PS5 in time for the console's launch window (still pegged as Holiday 2020).
The game will follow on from 2018's smash hit game, but instead of Peter Parker, you'll be thrust into the shoes of the eponymous Miles Morales – but we imagine, beat for beat, a lot of the gameplay will be pretty similar.
Insomniac has revealed that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a standalone game but it seems like the title will be more similar in scope to a standalone DLC title (think Uncharted: Lost Legacy) than a 'full' game.
But is Insomniac's latest coming to Xbox?
Is Spider-Man Miles Morales coming to Xbox?
At the time of writing, there are no plans to release Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on Xbox – whether that's Xbox One or Xbox Series X.
The game was developed by Insomniac Games with funding and support from Sony, and as such we're very unlikely to see the game release on any Microsoft console platform.
To date, we haven't seen any Sony-published titles release on Xbox platforms – though Sony seems to be more keen on support PC these days than it used to be.
So it stands to reason we may see the game hit PC once it's had a decent period of PS5 exclusivity, but don't count on it arriving on Xbox any time soon.
