A collaboration between George R.R. Martin and developer From Software has been officially confirmed, with a new trailer showing off title Elden Ring.
After details on the game leaked ahead of E3, Elden Ring was given an official reveal during Microsoft’s E3 conference in a brief cinematic trailer.
Little is revealed in the clip, but it confirms the game will take place in a world created by Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game Of Thrones author George R.R. Martin.
The trailer itself seems revolved around severed limbs, as a narrator speaks about an Elden Ring shattered by a mysterious entity.
In an official description, the game is described as a fantasy action-RPG adventure where ‘danger and discovery lurks around every corner’. It’s also claimed to be From Software’s largest game to-date.
Judging by From Software’s pedigree on Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and with the writing chops of Martin, this certainly has the potential to be very special.
