Genshin Impact 1.7 is launching very soon, and Mihoyo has decided to showcase its plans for the upcoming update this week.
A new post from the development team has revealed that a special livestream event will be held in the coming days, focused on what will be added to the game next.
And it has now been confirmed that the Genshin Impact 1.7 livestream date has been set for Friday, July 9.
This follows a normal pattern for Mihoyo, although some changes to the usual format have been confirmed.
While gamers will be able to tune in and get all the latest news regarding Genshin Impact 1.7 on Friday, they will probably want to watch everything on Twitch instead of YouTube.
That’s because the livestream will be held on the Twitch Channel first, before being posted to YouTube later on.
So for anyone who wants to get the news first, the Genshin Impact 1.7 livestream start time has been set for Friday, July 9, at 1pm BST.
The message from Mihoyo adds: “Dear Travelers, The Genshin Impact Preview will premiere on the official Twitch channel at 8:00 AM (UTC-4) on July 9th – https://twitch.tv/genshinimpactofficial.
“The official YouTube channel will release the recording on July 9 at 12:00 PM (UTC-4) https://youtube.com/c/GenshinImpact.”
Another thing that could be different during this upcoming livestream is the content covered for PS4, PC and Mobile platforms.
Most of the time, Mihoyo shares the patch number in the announcement, with the next update being Genshin Impact 1.7.
This time around, the livestream is only called the Genshin Impact Preview, leaving it open to cover other parts of the game.
Genshin Impact: PlayStation release thrilling gameplay trailer
There are rumours that Genshin Impact 2.0 is on the way and will be part of a massive overhaul of the game.
And if these recent rumours prove correct, it will mean gamers getting a lot of new information covering what’s coming next in July, and what is being planned for beyond that.
We should also have plenty of news covering Genshin Impact 1.7, which is expected to include two new banners and map changes.
Expected to arrive around July 16, the next major game expansion already has plenty of leaked information being shared online.
While Kazuha became the first character to arrive from Inazuma, they won’t be the last, with plenty more being planned.
Both Yoimiya and Ayaka look set to join him later this month, and the wait time could be very short.
Ayaka has been leaked as a five-star character who will be a Cryo sword user with plenty to offer any roster.
She is expected to debut soon after Genshin Impact 1.7 is launched, perhaps as early as July 21.
Recent reports also indicate that developers Mihoyo are thinking about making some map changes with Genshin 1.7, which extends to changing the lineup of monsters in certain areas.
The full release date for Genshin Impact 1.7 is expected to be announced on July 9, alongside a new list of codes. These provide free items and Primogems to fans to spend on whatever they want, and will likely go live straight after the stream has ended.
Some of the most recent codes released by Mihoyo include the following:
- GENSHINGIFT – 50 Primogems and Three Hero Wits.
- GENSHINGALAXY – 10,000 Mora and other items.
- GENSHINEPIC – 10,000 Mora and other items.
- GS6ACJ775KNV – 60 Primogems and 10,000 Mora.
- SBNBUK67M37Z – 30 Primogems and Five Adventurer’s EXP.
