Games with Gold December 2019: Great Xbox Live news ahead of Xbox One free games

Xbox Games with Gold subscribers, you don't have long to wait until Major Nelson unveils another selection of free Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games for you to download as part of your Xbox Live subscription.

Following a lukewarm selection in November, players will be hoping that the December lineup contains some suitably impressive games to amuse fans over the Christmas period.

Whilst it will have no bearing on 2019, it's fun to note that Microsoft secured Q.U.B.E. 2 , Never Alone , Dragon Age II and Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction for the December 2018 lineup.

Which is a fairly decent selection, so we'll be hoping for another good showing in 2019. As for next month, it's hard to know what games could be available and there's not been any leaks to suggest what games could replace the existing November titles.

The only thing we can say is that we could be waiting until the end of next week before discovering what games will be available.

If you look back over the past few months, the Games with Gold announcement appears to be shifting more towards the final few days of the month.

It used to be that Microsoft's Major Nelson, the Director of Programming for Xbox Live, would unveil the new games on or around the 20th of the month.

However, more recent Games with Gold announcements have arrived very late in the month since April.

For example, the May 2019 Games with Gold lineup was revealed on April 29. The June Games with Gold reveal took place on May 30. Likewise, July's lineup arrived on June 29 and August's games were revealed on July 29th. As for September, that was confirmed on August 30th. And yes, the October and November lineups were also unveiled on the 26th and 30th.

Regardless of how late Xbox leave it, there are only six days left in the month, so it won't be long before we learn what games are available throughout December.

However, ahead of the big announcements, there's an excellent Xbox Live deal you can grab right now if your subscription is running low or set to lapse shortly.

At the time of writing, CD Keys are selling a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription for £37.99.

That's a 24% discount on the standard price of £49.99. It's not even a Black Friday offer, so if you can stand to wait, maybe check back in a couple of days because it could have dropped even lower.

If you've never used CD Keys before, it's rather straightforward. After purchasing the annual subscription, the online retailer will send you a confirmation email with a download link.

After verifying your phone number, you will be sent a pin, which can then be used to access your code.

Games With Gold November 2019 – Don't Forget!

There are already some brand new Xbox Games with Gold titles to download from the November lineup.

Last week the mid-month changeover happened and it means there are three games ready and waiting to be downloaded and played on your Xbox.

At the time of writing, Friday the 13th: The Game and Star Wars Jedi Starfighter are no longer available to download for free.

However, you can download Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter and dystopian survival sim The Final Station .

Those still partial to some golden oldies via backwards compatibility can also grab the Xbox 360 kart racing game Joy Ride Turbo.

It goes without saying that these free games won't be available forever, so why not take the opportunity to download them now before you forget.

After all, they're yours to keep forever, so it's well worth you spending 5 minutes now to add them to your Xbox Live account. You'll thank us later!
