Fortnite update 11.40.3: Battle Royale and Save the World full patch notes live

Epic Games has – seemingly out of nowhere – confirmed a new patch is landing in Fortnite today.

Whilst a lot of this update is aimed squarely at the Save the World part of the game (which is different from the hugely successful Battle Royale side of Fortnite), there are some incoming changes related to Fortnite Battle Royale, too.

This surprise new Fortnite 11.40.3 update will enact a few changes and bug fixes in the game, but there will also be some new content dropped into the mix, too.

Though Epic has yet to announce the broader details about this small content update, sources suggest it is around 300MB in size, and it'll come with some new NFL cosmetics, too.

There have been a couple of patch notes released for the shock update over on the game's Trello board.

We've collected those – alongside the updates coming the Save the World part of the game – below.

Fortnite 11.40.3 patch notes

• Goalbound Set Outfits have number in front instead of back.

• The issue involving difficulty scrolling/selecting Friends in the Social menu will be resolved in a future release.
