Fortnite season 10 release date is around the corner, with a brand new Battle Pass set to launch in the hit Battle Royale shooter.
There are only a few weeks left until Fortnite season 9 finishes and Fortnite season 10 begins.
Fortnite season 10 is a landmark moment for the hugely popular Battle Royale shooter, with it being the first Battle Pass in the double digits.
Throughout season 9 of Fortnite there has been a countdown running showing how much time is left till it finishes.
The countdown has said that the final full day for Fortnite season 9 would be Tuesday July 23.
This could mean that Fortnite season 10 could start on Wednesday July 24, if Epic Games followed previous launch schedules.
This date did seem surprising, as ever since Fortnite season 5 new Battle Passes have launched on a Thursday.
However, it has emerged that the Fortnite season 10 launch may happen later than the countdown is indicating.
A previous PlayStation event listing claimed that Fortnite season 9 would finish on Thursday August 1.
This has yet to be confirmed with the countdown in the Battle Pass still saying that Fortnite season 9 is finishing on Tuesday July 23.
It remains to be seen whether Fortnite season 10 launches on Wednesday July 24 or Thursday August 1.
If it does launch during the last full week in July then it means Fortnite season 10 will be showcased during the inaugural Fortnite World Cup.
This kicks off on Friday July 26 and finishes on Sunday July 28.
Alternatively, Fortnite season 10 could launch after the Fortnite World Cup has finished on Thursday August 1.
In other Fortnite season 10 news, it looks like the in-game build-up to the next Battle Pass has begun.
At the Fortnite volcano construction has begun on a massive robot.
To begin with only a part of the robot’s legs has been built, but it looks set to be a huge mech.
It’s not clear what role the Fortnite robot will play in the build-up to Fortnite season 10.
Could it end up destroying part of, or all of, the island – potentially ushering in that long rumoured new map?
Or will the robot end up fighting the monster that has been roaming in the seas for most of Fortnite season 9?
Only time will tell, but it looks like Epic Games has some big plans for the landmark 10th season of Fortnite Battle Royale.
