Fortnite 11.11 Patch Notes Update: FINALLY a list of confirmed game changes

Fortnite Chapter 2 was a fantastic reboot for the game and by all accounts exactly what fans were clamouring for after 10 seasons of changes.

Don't believe us, then have a read of our review from one of our most avid Fortnite freelancers.

But that's beside the point because whilst fans were largely happy with the sweeping changes, they probably are less than satisfied with the games laid back approach to patch notes this season.

Throughout Fornite Chapter 2, Epic Games have pretty much binned the long laundry list of weekly changes they would provide fans on the blog.

The games latest 11.11 update dropped this morning and as many suspected the developers were not very forthcoming with patch notes or changes.

The Fortnite Trello board has, begrudgingly we imagine, posted a list of the “ known issues addressed by v11.11 ”.

Fortnite Known Issues Addressed by v11.11

Battle Royale

Cosmetic issue involving Kitbash Outfit’s head to appear floating.
Magma Wrap looks different than intended.
Gift wrap missing for gifted Battle Passes.

Creative

Wireframe sphere may appear around some pet Back Blings.

Save the World

Can’t increase the Rarity of the Nightfall Schematic.
Locked Missions appearing for some players in Hexsylvania.

However, in addition to the above, fans, players and competitive Fortnite professionals have also been compiling their own list of “ Crowd-Sourced Patch Notes ” changes.

Fortnite Crowd-Sourced Patch Notes for v11.11

Here is a list of what they have found so far:

List of gameplay changes:

Grenade stack size decreased from 10 to 6
Grenade spawn rates decreased
Motorboat sound decreased
middle island restored

List of other changes:

Magma wrap working as intended
Locker has a search bar
New match stats screen
Week 4 challenge updated: Damage opponents with gas pumps (3?) >> Destroy (4) gas pumps in different matches
Different materials art

As noted by our preview piece this morning, it's also confirmed that the Battle Royale map has changed, with the central island going back to the way it used to be prior to the release of the Fortnitemares zombie update.
