FIFA 20 POTM December: Alexander-Arnold, De Bruyne, Ings, Calvert Lewin and more

The next Premier League player of the Month nominees have been announced and fans of the game and league can now start casting their vote for who they want to see crowned as the best playing in November.

Voting for the next Premier League Player of the Month award opened this morning and in the running for December is a healthy mix of players across the league. For December you can vote for one of the following players

Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool), Dominic Calvert Lewin (Everton), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Ben Foster (Watford), Danny Ings (Southampton), Emiliano Buendia (Norwich), Adama Traorè (Wolves) and Jamie Vardy (Leicester City).

The winner of the monthly award will receive a POTM award in-game, complete with a new purple FUT card and significantly improved stats.

The new Player of the Month is normally announced on or around the second Friday of the month, so we imagine we'll find out who has won the December award this time next week.

EA SPORTS December Player of the Month shortlist

Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool)

The Liverpool right-back produced a goal and three assists, while earning three clean sheets, in a flawless month for the Reds. His haul included scoring once and setting up two goals in a 4-0 victory at second-placed Leicester City.

Emiliano Buendia (Norwich)

Buendia created 29 chances for his Norwich City team-mates, the most by any player in a single month in the Premier League since Opta started recording such data, and that included two assists.

Dominic Calvert Lewin (Everton)

The striker was key to Everton's revival under Duncan Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti, scoring five times, including doubles in victories over Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

The Belgian scored three goals, including a spectacular double in a 3-0 triumph at Arsenal, and also provided three assists as the champions won four out of six matches.

Ben Foster (Watford)

Foster made 20 saves on his way to three clean sheets in December, producing impressive stops to help Watford earn seven points from the last three matches in the month under new head coach Nigel Pearson.

Danny Ings (Southampton)

Ings scored five goals in as many starts during the month, which has helped him move up to second in the Golden Boot race. His December tally included a match-winning brace at Aston Villa.

Adama Traorè (Wolves)

Traore was the driving force for a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who won 11 points in December, scoring a stunner against Tottenham Hotspur and providing a goal and an assist as Wolves did the double over Manchester City.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)

Vardy scored four goals in three successive wins at the start of December before finding the net at Man City, taking his tally to league-leading 17 for the season.

Players can head to the Premier League website to cast their vote.

News of this new FIFA 20 POTM awards comes ahead of EA Sports Team of the Year announcment this coming Monday.

Nominations for the Team of the year closed over the Christmas period, but we should learn which players were deemed worthy in the coming days.

Attacking players that have been nominated include Mo Salah, Raheem Sterling, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Eden Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Defensive players that have been nominated include Sergio Ramos, Virgil Van Dijk, Jordi Alba, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Matthijs de Ligt.

Nominated goalkeepers include Alisson, Ederson, Ter Stegen and Jan Oblak.
