- What Are Larval Tears And How To Use Them
- All Larval Tears Locations
Elden Ring has ten starting classes to choose from. How you build them and what weapons you use is up to you. If you happen to have distributed your stats incorrectly, if you found a cool-looking weapon that doesn't align with your character, or if you just want to switch things up a little, you can be reborn without actually restarting the game.
However, you can't just walk up to your average town merchant and say, "Hey, Bob. I'd like to redistribute my stats. How much is that?" Instead, the game asks you to defeat a demigod and hand hear an item known as Larval Tear.
What Are Larval Tears And How To Use Them
Larval Tears are rare items in Elden Ring. They are scattered all over the map, and you can use them to respec your character. The NPC behind the stat reallocation is Renalla, Queen of the Full Moon — once you have defeated her, that is.
After she has been beaten, she will become an NPC with the ability to rebirth your character. And she will gladly do so as long as you give her a Larval Tear in exchange.
All Larval Tears Locations
Larval Tear 1
The first Larval Tear can be found on Limgrave, near the cliffs above the southern Site of Grace on Lake Agheel. On one of the cliffs above, but below the enemy camp, you will find an Undead Soldier. Once defeated, he will turn into a Lesser Runebear thanks to a spell. When you defeat the bear, it will drop a Larval Tear.
Larval Tear 2
A shrimp can be found roaming around the northern area of the Folly on the Lake Site of Grace. The shrimp, like any undead-like monster, is a decoy that, when defeated, transforms into a mini boss version of the Grafted Scion. Defeating it in its full form grants you a Larval Tear.
Larval Tear 3
In the Caria Manor, you will find Pidia, the Carian Servant, who will sell a Larval Tear for 3,000 runes. He can be found on a balcony above the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace, which is only accessible if you drop down the cliffs from the southwestern side of the Three Sisters.
Larval Tear 4
This one can be found in the graveyard of the town of Village of the Albinaruics. Just to the east of the Site of Grace, besides the stone coffins where all the enemies are.
Larval Tear 5
Once you reach the large open area on the Siofra River, you will see a set of walls that circle around a pillar. Climb them and follow the walls to a cave at the back of the area. Here you can find a merchant selling a Larval Tear.
Larval Tear 6
In Southern Caelid, near the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, you will find an undead soldier standing around. Defeat this seemingly weak enemy to reveal his true form: a gigantic, deadly troll. Well, you know the rest. If you manage to defeat its true form, you will get a Larval Tear.
Larval Tears 7, 8, And 9
Head to Nokron, Eternal City. Here, you will find three tears in total. You can find one of the tears on a corpse lying inside a stone building near the Siofra River Well Depths Site of Grace.
To find the next tear, you will need to head towards a gazebo that contains a Larval Tear in the middle. Be wary of the slimes falling from the sky.
The last one is located inside Night's Sacred Ground. There is a Silver Tear disguised as a large inanimate ball. Go ahead a defeat it, to get the last Larval Tear here.
Larval Tear 10
If you are set on defeating the Mimic Tear boss located in this area, you will also be able to get your hands on one more Larval Tear.
Larval Tear 11
Look for an undead adversary lurking in the corner of the ruins to the east of the Altus Plateau Minor Erdtree. This adversary will morph into a Lion Guardian and drop a Larval Tear.
