Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot – How To Use The Time Machine

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an incredibly ambitious title for Bandai Namco. Encompassing the entirety of the Z saga in one open-world game, there is a lot of content for fans of the anime to dig into. The story is said to be around 30-40 hours and you’ll face tons of iconic characters in recreations of their classic arcs. It’s an epic game in every sense of the word.

Being an open-world game, there are a ton of activities to partake of in Kakarot. Sadly, if you make too much progress in any particular arc, you’ll lose the ability to finish off sidequests in them. Well, you would if Bandai Namco wasn’t about to issue a free update.

As reported a few days ago, the first free update for Kakarot will include a time machine that players can use to travel back to the past. With this, you’ll be able to mop up any activities you may have missed and go for 100% completion. How exactly do you do this, though? If you’re looking for answers, then you’ve stumbled upon the right page!

As it currently stands, players can locate the Time Machine in West City outside of the Capsule Corp dome. Bulma and Future Trunks will be standing near it and you can even converse with them about sending Trunks back to the future (GREAT SCOTT!). Future Trunks will join your party at this point, but you’re currently unable to do anything else.

Following the update that adds the ability -which still doesn’t have an exact date-, a new sidequest involving Arale and Gatchan will need to be completed. They are lost and need help getting back home. We’re still a little unclear on all of the details, but the gist is that Bulma’s father, Dr. Brief, will likely announce he has worked out the kinks in his device and you’ll be able to head back to the past.

For the moment, this is the best we’ve got. We know the location of the time machine and what it will accomplish. We just now need Bandai Namco to release the update. It should be coming any day now and if extra steps are needed, we’ll be sure to keep you informed. For now, keep West City in mind.
