Disney's Illusion Island is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on July 28.
It's been some time since we last saw Disney's Illusion Island, but it made a surprise appearance at today's Nintendo Direct. Not only did we get a brand new gameplay trailer, but we also got an official release date – July 28.
It's been some time since we last saw Disney's Illusion Island, as it was one of the surprise reveals at D23 last year, alongside Amy Hennig's Captain America and Black Panther game. The reveal trailer was pretty light on gameplay, but interviews following the game's announcement revealed that it was Dlala Studios' second attempt at the concept after a similar game was cancelled by Disney back in 2016.
Although Dlala stresses that this Illusion Island isn't the same as the one from 2016, the original concept did contain the same characters and was likely quite similar in many ways. Concept art for that version of the game also leaked out a few months before the announcement of the revival at D23.
