Destiny 2 Xur location: Where is Xur today and what exotic is Xur selling?

Destiny 2 players don't have long to wait before they learn what Bungie has in store for them in the next big season update, officially titled Season of the Dawn.

This new wave of content is coming December 10th, possibly with a new Dawning Christmas Event.

For this week though, fans might feel a little starved of info, given that Bungie posted their weekly blog post a few days early in order to celebrate Thanksgiving.

It was also fairly brief, likely because Bungie will host a full livestream to showcase the new season, next week, on Wednesday 4th December.

If you're not celebrating the American holiday, then you can at least be thankful that our trusty gear merchant, Xur, does not care for Turkey.

As such, squid face will return to the game later today to peddle his wares to players on PS4, Xbox One, PC.

Oh and of course Google Stadia; all 14 of you (Only Joking).

For those of you only just joining the game, Xur is a bigger draw for new players since he's now selling world-drop Exotics from Year 2.

So grab them whilst you still can and keep reading for everything you need to know about Xur, what time he goes live, where he'll be and much more.

Where is Xur This Week?

As many will know, Xur will arrive later today (November 29th), ready to sell you his shiny new exotic weapon and an assortment of different exotic armour for passing Hunters, Warlocks and Titans.

Assuming guardians have got the legendary shards free to spend that is.

The cloaked del boy of Destiny isn't live in the game just yet and if you try to search for him you won't find him lurking about on any planet. Thankfully you don't have to wait long.

Back in Destiny 1, Xur would arrive early in the morning. But in 2019 he makes his return to Destiny 2 in the afternoon at 9am PST, 12pm EST, 5pm GMT and 6pm CET.

When he does eventually return, he'll be hunched over in a corner peddling his exotic wares to passers-by. But where?

Should Bungie add more lore or quests that focus on Xur?

Right now we can't give you a specific location for where you'll find the mysterious merchant, because he spawns in a random location of his choosing every Friday.

That said, he will always appear in the same spots you've always found him in-game these past few years.

So that's either on the EDZ (near Winding Cove), IO (by Giant's Scar), Titan (next to The Rig), Nessus (on the barge near Watcher's Grave) or potentially in the Tower (at the back of the Hanger).

There's no suggestion he'll be hiding on the Moon – which is only available with the Shadowkeep expansion – so don't bother looking on that particular planet.

And remember, since the release ofDestiny 2 Forsaken, Xur no longer displays a vendor icon on destination maps. So it's going to take us (and you) a few extra minutes to find him.

Check back at 5pm GMT today, (on the dot) for all the information you need on where he's located, what he's selling and whether it's actually worth spending your legendary shards.

What was Xur selling last week? November 21 – 26

This is more of a PSA in the event you want to know what exotics you may have missed out on last week, and those which are unlikely to return again this week.

So for those who want to know, last week Xur was on the EDZ, near WINDING COVE selling the stock listed below:

• Wardcliff Coil – Rocket Launcher – 29 Legendary Shards
• Verity's Brow – Helmet Armor – 23 Legendary Shards
• The Sixth Coyote – Hunter Chest Armor – 23 Legendary Shards
• One Eyed Mask – Titan Helmet Armor – 23 Legendary Shards

As most players likely know, Xur stopped selling these items earlier this week, on Tuesday, when the Destiny 2 Reset removed Xur from the game.

But needless to say, its unlikely we'll see these exotics available again this week, and we suspect Xur will spawn in a location other than the EDZ

So if you see anything you like when he spawns today, be sure to buy it quickly before he departs once again on Tuesday 3rd December.
