He famous for being the founder, president, and CEO of FUBU and also appears as an investor on the ABC reality television series Shark Tank. He is currently based in New York City.

Daymond Garfield John was born on February 23, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York City. However, he grew up in the Queens neighborhood of Hollis. He started working when he was ten years old when his parents divorced. His first job was handing out flyers for $2 an hour. When he was in high school, he took part in a program that allowed him to work a full-time job and attend school.
After he graduated from high school, he started a commuter van service and waited tables at Red Lobster. Daymond didn’t go to college so that he could start his career and supporting his family as soon as possible. He began his career when he became the CEO and president of the company FUBU.
Career
His career began when he set up the FUBU business. John started working at Red Lobster so he could generate funds, and he also started working with his friends, J.Alexander Martin and Keith Perrin, to sew the FUBU logo on hockey jerseys.
Daymond is one of the leading investors on ‘Shark Tank,’ which is a TV show where business executives listen to business pitches. Then, they decide which venture to invest in.
Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Mark Cuban, and Robert Herjavec, also work on the show.
He had many speaking engagements, such as California First Lady Maria Shriver’s Women’s Conference, AT&T’s History Makers Tour, and also the Creative Liaisons Program at the annual London International Awards.

As a person in the public spotlight, you would be surprised how many people walk up to me swelled up with joy and tell me how proud they are of me. Even though they don’t personally know me, they have a certain attachment to me. It is truly a blessing to have so many people praying for my best. I feel the same way about @willsmith. We have seen each other often in passing over the past 30 years in similar industries. But every time I see him, I feel like he is a younger brother or nephew that I have watched grow to be one of the biggest stars in the world. But let’s be clear. Will is my same age, he is a grown ass man with a beautiful wife, kids and an entire empire at his fingertips. So why do I feel this way? Maybe because we all grew up watching him as a wide eyed Fresh Prince learning life and have stayed connected to that character throughout the years. Personal Life
Daymond is dyslexic. He has two favorite books, Think and Grow Rich and Rich Dad Poor Dad.
In April 2017, he was diagnosed with degree II thyroid cancer. He effectively underwent surgery to get rid of the cancerous nodule.
In 2018, he and Heather Taras got married. She is his second wife. They have a daughter named Minka Jagger. He has two daughters from his first marriage. They are called Destiny and Yasmeen.
