COD: Black Ops Cold War – All Scorestreaks In The Beta

The concept of Scorestreaks began way back in the Treyarch developed COD Black Ops 2 by building off of the Killstreak system, and has now returned for COD: Black Ops Cold War. This system of rewarding players with powerful rewards, tools, and gear for accumulating points rather than just kills opened up the game to allow for more types of players to interact with these powerful toys. We only know for sure which ones to look forward to in the full game, as well as how they work, based on the beta, but these are all the Scorestreaks confirmed to be coming when the full game launches.

Every Scorestreak In The Cold War Beta

If you’ve played a previous Black Ops title, you know the general idea of how Scorestreaks work, but there are some differences the developers have made in the latest game in the series.

The first thing to note is that Scorestreaks persist between deaths. Unlike Killstreaks, you can stock up your points before cashing out on a Scorestreak without fear of losing them if you get blindsided or hit by an unlucky grenade. To balance this out, though, the number of points needed for Scorestreaks, especially the most powerful ones, are quite high.

Second is that there is a score multiplier system called the Streak Bonus. If you’re able to get two or more kills in a row, the number of points you earn for each successive kill will be multiplied. This will encourage risky play, and reward players who are quick on the draw.

Every Confirmed Scorestreak In Black Ops Cold War

RC-XD: The lowest cost Scorestreak at 600 points is the classic remote control bomb on wheels, the RC-XD. You should know how this one works by now – steer it into the biggest crowd of players you can find and detonate it before they can shoot it.

Spy Plane: Another COD staple, the UAV costs a little more at 800 points and does what it always has. Call it in to ping enemy locations on you and your team’s mini-maps, assuming they don’t have a perk to avoid detection, of course.

Artillery: This is where things start to get pricy. Artillery costs 1,900 points and is basically a more controllable airstrike. You select three points on the map to shell with artillery.

Napalm Strike: Costing 2,400 points, this is another classic Scorestreak back from the original Black Ops. Using this allows you to choose the location, as well as the direction the plane will fly in from, to drop flaming death upon anyone caught below. The fire will also remain for a short while and deal lethal damage to anyone oblivious enough to run through it.

Air Patrol: Now up to 2,750 points, Air Patrol is essentially a counter Scorestreak. Calling this squad of fighters in will shoot down any enemy air support including Spy Planes and Helicopters.

War Machine: This was a former Specialist weapon in Black Ops 4, but is now reworked into a 3,150 point Scorestreak. This is a heavy grenade launcher you can whip out to blast away enemies like rag dolls. Just be careful, you only have 12 rounds, are just as easy to kill as always, and won’t get it back if you die before using all your shots.

Attack Helicopter: Arguably the most iconic Kill/Scorestreak, the Attack Helicopter can be called in for a heavy 3,750 points. Just flip the switch and let this AI helicopter rain down death as it sees fit.

Chopper Gunner: If you want to rain death a little more personally, save up 6,000 for the final Scorestreak and load up into the Chopper Gunner seat yourself. Fire down from the sky with your turret on marked enemies like a divine force. Just watch out for rockets that could end your fun early.
