Call of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone: Experts predict Battle Royale will be huge

Although Activision has yet to formally announce anything to do with Call of Duty Warzone , there has been substantial evidence to suggest the Battle Royale mode for 2019's entry in the annual franchise is coming. And, if recent rumours are to be believed, it's coming soon.

Activision and Infinity Ward are expected to announce Warzone any day now, and already financial analysts are suggesting that the new mode will mean good news for the publisher and the developer.

According to The Street , analysts over at financial advice firm Stephens Investment are predicting Warzone to be massive – making Activision a good investment bet in the immediate future.

“We believe this is an attractive buying opportunity ahead of the rumoured 'Call of Duty Warzone' (battle royale mode), potentially launching in the next week,” a Stephens Investment spokesman has said.

"[Warzone] should provide a positive near-term catalyst and help sustain the already strong engagement/monetisation of Modern Warfare."

"We believe the hype surrounding this battle royale mode should have a positive impact on engagement and spending, which has already been very strong for Modern Warfare.”

The analyst adds that the mode is expected to be announced by March 10.

This comes shortly after another well-known video games leaker, Okami 13 made a statement about when they're expecting the mode to be announced.

Writing on Twitter Okami 13 said:

"Warzone is launching March 10th – Trailer is ready. It's coming either on Thursday or on Monday. – Free to play- Squads only – Will be in its own separate client. When all of this comes true you will know I'm right about MW2R coming this year."

With Thursday now been and gone, we suspect that we should see the event go live early next week.

Whether players receive a teaser before then, is anyone's guess, but we think there could be a good chance, especially with another Call of Duty League meeting this weekend in LA, California.

We'll keep you updated as we hear more from Infinity Ward or Activision.
