Call of Duty 2020 might well be the most leaked game of the year. We know a lot about the title and it hasn't even been formally announced yet!
Earlier this month, a Call of Duty 2020 alpha going under the title The Red Door appeared on the Microsoft Store, and shortly after that dataminers started uncovering what we could expect from the game's campaign.
Now, amazingly, the actual title and logo for the game has been leaked thanks to a bag of Doritos.
File this under "You couldn't make it up"; Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been shown on a packet of Doritos, picked up by TheGamingRevolution.
You can see it in the flesh below.
The Doritos pack also hints at some interesting dates regarding the game.
The promotion detailed in the fine print kicks off from October 5, 2020 and gives players 12 months of double XP (something similar to what we saw with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019).
This points towards a CoD 2020 release date of sometime in October (that's now standard for the series), even though nothing has yet been mentioned by publisher Activision.
The leak appears to confirm what previous reports and rumours have been hinting at –this year's Call of Duty will return to the original setting and time period of the first Black Ops game.
Previous rumours suggest that the game will see players jumping into the shoes of not just US soldiers – you'll also be able to play as the South Vietnamese and Viet Cong.
We're expecting an announcement and official information about the game from Activision soon.
