This week has seen developers Visual Concepts release NBA 2K21 update 1.09 on PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
The good news is that more will follow, meaning the latest changes will soon be available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
According to those downloading it on PlayStation 4, the new patch weighs in at around 30GB, and the reason behind this is a frustrating one.
While most games can add a patch onto an existing game, some require a large chunk of it to be downloaded again with every update.

This means that whatever is included in the new patch, the file size will always be on the chunky side.
This is an issue for gamers on PS4 and Xbox One, although the next-gen version seems to avoid this problem.
According to the development team, today’s NBA 2K21 update includes a number of MyTEAM fixes, new additions to 2K Beach as well as general updates and improvements to the overall experience of NBA 2K21 across all game modes.
The PS4 version of the patch reportedly includes additional fixes to help the game perform better and remain more stable while being played.
