Assassin's Creed Mirage's store description has leaked ahead of its full reveal, giving us some plot and gameplay details and confirming that Basim is the main protagonist.
Another day, another Assassin's Creed Mirage leak. Despite Ubisoft stepping forward last week and confirming the existence of the game following months of rumours, it looks like the leaks aren't stopping before its official unveiling later this week, as its store description has now appeared online.
As shared by gaming insider Tom Henderson, Mirage's PlayStation Store description has leaked online, revealing a little bit about the game's setting and plot, as well as some brief gameplay details that give us a hint at what direction Mirage will be taking. It's not clear how Henderson has acquired the description, as it's presented in a Tweet and not a screenshot from the actual store, but it seems legitimate and lines up with previous reports.
The description starts with a basic story outline and the confirmation that players will be controlling Basim, something that's been rumoured for some time. It reads, "Experience the story of Basim, a cunning street thief seeking answers and justice as he navigates the bustling streets of ninth-century Baghdad. Through a mysterious, ancient organization known as the Hidden Ones, he will become a deadly Master Assassin and change his fate in ways he never could have imagined."
There are also some brief mentions of gameplay features within the description. Players will be able to "experience a modern take on the iconic features and gameplay that have defined a franchise for 15 years", which doesn't quite reveal if it'll be an RPG or an action game. The description also mentions that players can, "parkour seamlessly through the city and stealthily take down targets with more visceral assassinations than ever before", and that the world will have inhabitants that "react to your every move" which lines up with recent reports that suggest a return to Unity's larger crowds of NPCs.
