ARK Survival Evolved down: Server status latest as EU servers struggle

ARK Survival Evolved appears to be suffering from issues this afternoon with Studio Wildcard's action-adventure survival video game suffering from connection problems across multiple servers.

The game's problems began at around 10.30AM GMT this morning, but issues appear to have worsened's throughout the morning.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has received a surge of Ark down reports with the majority of issues relating to server connection problems with 'logins' also seeing major reports from fans of the game.

The Down Detector live outage map says the problems are mainly hitting users in the UK, Europe and some smaller parts of the US on the east coast. With most of the west coast still asleep, it's possible reports could rise in the coming hours.

There's also multiple reports from unhappy players online, but no official response from the ARK team.

One user complained to the Ark Team, "Hi guys, all Xbox EU PvE servers have been offline for 2.5hours… possibly other platforms/game modes too, idk… Are you guys aware? Working on a fix?"

Another added: "This is why I’m not buying Genesis . No amount of updates or patches will fix this broken game. It’s almost as though the people at wildcard programmed the Unreal engine with a hammer. Been trying to log in for almost 2 hours"

And a third also confirmed issues, writing: "half the legacy server a not working there a log lock on them been trying to log in for a hour and a half"

The developers are set to release a new expansion to the game later this month, ARK: Genesis.

This next expansion to the game will arrive in two parts, with the first half set to release on February 25 for PS4, Xbox One and PC with a brand new season pass for the game.

"This Season Pass gives you access to two new huge expansion packs and one exclusive in-game cosmetic pet," the team announced last year.

"Further the ARK storyline while adventuring through unique and diverse biomes via an all new mission-based game mechanic. Discover, utilize and master new creatures, new craftable items and new craftable structures unlike anything you have seen yet!"
