The 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Split has been running for more than a week now, and we have been able to witness the level with which the ten participating teams have started their journey in the tournament.
Unfortunately, the three-times World Champion, T1, is not having the best of beginnings this season, and many fans wonder what is going on within the most legendary organization of the Korean League of Legends.
It is true that, in its debut, the team managed to beat Hanwha Life Esports (2-1), but three more games have taken place after that first victory, and none of them was a new one.
First, they lost to DAMWON Kia (2-1), second, Gen.G took the victory on the series against them (2-1), and this Sunday, in the so-called Telecom War, the team of Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok lost against KT Rolster (2-1).
Despite the previous bad results, T1 was the favorite to get the victory in this series, and the final result has surprised almost everyone, especially after they got the first victory of the day in the first game.

But the second game was a different story. KT Rolster picked Samira for the bot lane, together with Rell (a champion that we had not seen before in competitive games), and under the commands of Son ‘Ucal‘ Woo-Hyeon, KT got the second game.
Despite the loss, T1 did not learn the lesson, and they did not ban Samira in the third game… so KT Rolster took the opportunity, and picked her once again.
With this Champion, Lee ‘HyBrid‘ Woo-jin shined in the Summoners’ Rift, and his team managed to win despite T1’s efforts to prevent it.
After this result, T1 signs one of the worst season beginnings that we can recall, and places in the seventh position with a global score of 1-3, the same record as Liiv SANDBOX, Afreeca Freecs, and Fredit BRION.
Their next series will be against Liiv SANDBOX, an opportunity for the team to move further away from the bottom of the classification table.
