Nigma continue to be a thorn in the side of Vikin.gg

Yesterday we saw the first day of the OGA Dota PIT Season 4:
Europe/CIS kick off, with all eight teams playing their first series – and for Team
Nigma and Vikin.gg, the day ended in a massive clash.

Vikin.gg have shown some absolutely amazing skill lately,
with an extremely young Dota 2 squad which have quickly risen the ranks and
become a true force to be reckoned with in the EU/CIS region. Their third-place
finish at the recently conclude EPIC League Division 1 was preceded by their
championship victory at the DOTA Summit 13: Only EU/CIS event and now the team
were hoping to add another top place finish to their growing list. However, Team
Nigma were constantly a thorn in their side and today was no different.

Going into the series, it seemed as though Vikin.gg would run
away with an easy victory as they tore through a seemingly weak Nigma in game
one. Indji “Shad” Lub’s Sven was at the head of the pack, ending with a 16-2-13
scoreline and helping his team to an early series lead. However, game two was
where everything changed as Amer “Miracle-“ Al-Barkawi picked up the Medusa and
Nigma looked to take things late. While Vikin.gg built up a strong lead during
the early period of the game, that all changed as they struggled to keep up
with the Medusa and eventually had no choice but to tap out, tying the series.

After that, when it came to the deciding game three,
Vikin.gg just seemed to be completely lost and unable to find their footing.
With the wind taken out of their opponent’s sails, Nigma were able to take a commanding
victor – with Miracle claiming 18 kills on his Terrorblade, more than half of
his team’s total tally.

With that, Vikin.gg dropped into the lower bracket of the OGA
Dota PIT Season 4: EU/CIS event, while Nigma keep cruising in the upper
bracket. All eight teams will see action again today, with Nigma battling OG
and Vikin.gg fighting for their tournament lives against Virtus.pro – both of
which promise to be spectacular series of Dota 2 action.
