MOCHE XL 2020 announced with $100,000 prize pool – MIBR to attend

The 2020 iteration of MOCHE XL has been revealed with a $100,000 prize pool. The event is scheduled to run from June 27th to 28th at the Altice Arena which was also host to the previous two MOCHE XL events as well as BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018.

MIBR is the first team revealed to be attending and will be the favorites given their Brazilian heritage. The core of the Portuguese speaking roster hoisted the trophy at the first MOCHE XL event in 2018, although they were representing SK at the time.

The 2019 edition was won by the Bulgarian squad of Windigo.

The $100,000 prize pool is the highest the event has had thus far, bumping up from 2019’s $75,000. This $25,000 increase will see the winner earn $60,000 rather than last year’s $40,000.

Prize pool break down:

1. $60,000
2. $20,000
3-4. $7,000
5-6. $3,000

A total of six teams will be competing in the event as they battle through a single-elimination, best-of-three tournament. In addition to MIBR, two other spots are already filled as the winner of the Portuguese league MLP and Brazil’s Clutch Season 2 winner will join the cast.

The tournament organizer invites teams interested in the final three spots to reach out to them at [email protected]
