Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas may have just spoiled Cloud9’s new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team. mixwell is still technically signed to Cloud9 but as of now is not planning to be an active member of the organization’s professional CS:GO team and is seeking other opportunities.
In a TwitLonger made on December 31st, mixwell discusses his year, current problems, and all but confirms that ATK’s roster is heading to Cloud9.
mixwell explained that after receiving the news that Cloud9 would be selling its core of Damian “daps” Steele, Timothy “autimatic” Ta, and Kenneth “koosta” Suen to Gen.G, “Cloud9 wanted me to stay and build something fro mscratch with me, but nowadays it is hard to form a team in NA with good players and the ATK team was a good option for them, so I ended up with no team in the end.”
This isn’t the first mention of this move, however, as it was previously reported that Cloud9 was looking to scoop up the roster in early December.
It’s currently unknown where mixwell will end up at this time, although it’s likely he’ll get a shot somewhere even if it’s back in Europe.
The ATK CS:GO lineup has drawn attention to itself lately after defeating North and G2 at the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals and showing some good moments against a strong mousesports squad.
There has been no comment from ATK or Cloud9 at this time.
